Watch the video and read the information that FlowerBee gives to HoneyBee.
"Learn about my anatomy by reading the information that follows".
Head:
Honey bees have two compound eyes that make a large part of the head surface. They also have three simple eyes near the top of their head. Honey bees have antennae (one on each side of the head). Each compound eye is composed of individual cells which can receive images and colors very quickly and each has its own function. The compound eyes are specialized in unlocking when they detect rapid movement. Sudden movement can activate the bee's compound eyes and subsequently the beehive's alarm system.
Body:
It consists of the head , the thorax, and the abdomen. Two pairs of membranous wings are attached to the body at the front part of the thorax. The abdomen is separated into segments within which lie the wax glands . The drones have neither glands nor stingers.
Stinger:
A bee's stinger is located at the tip of the abdomen. The sting contains poison so we must know what to do in case we get stung by a bee.
